its gone....all gone
my 250 GB Western digital My Book Essentials is TOAST. I plugged it up to my moms crappy ---Yeah I said crappy-- computer and it started clicking. Estimates for data recovery start at 400 bucks. I lost all my files. All my pictures, music, and all my design files.WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

Oh, I am SO sorry to read this! That is horrible. I'd better go back up...using this as a reminder! May God give you peace during this bad event.
